How This All Began...

Seven years ago I wrote just a handful of letters to my friend's children from Santa Claus. The reaction was a little more than I expected. The parents were writing me thank you letters that were almost as long as the letters I wrote to their children. I have always loved to write so this was just a creative outlet for me. The following year, I wrote to those same children again, and because word of mouth is the best advertising, I ended up writing maybe thirty additional letters that year. Fast forward to 2008....Using my family website as the portal for Santa Letter orders - I wrote over 300 letters from October to December! It was during this boom in business that "Wishes & Wonders" was created. Never did I expect this to escalate to the level it has. It brings me such joy to know that kids all over the United States (and a few overseas) are enjoying these letters.

Our Employees

Well, I don't actually have employees. What I do have is Gionna & Joey's Nonna (my mom) who handmakes all the pouches for the "Magic Fairy Dust" that The Tooth Fairy sends in her letters. Her current salary is my undying love and appreciation....not sure what I'm going to do when she wants a raise! Other than that, I'm a one woman operation!

Someone is VERY happy they made it on Santa's "Nice" List!

The Letter Writing Process...

None of my letters are "cookie-cutter". Meaning, each letter is personalized to fit each child. The letter is written using information the parent provides in the on-line order form and then using the child's age, birth order, likes and dislikes and many other factors, I write the letter to fit them. A child will never receive the same letter twice and yes, I actually keep a copy of every letter I have ever written to a child.

And I Do This Because.....

Well, because I enjoy it! I have an imagination that never seems to stop and creating The North Pole Village, The Easter Bunny's Secret Cove or The Tooth Fairy's Castle in my mind results in letters that your child will hopefully enjoy and cherish. I have pages of names for the North Pole Elves, what their jobs are, names of the reindeer that misbehave, etc. I'm really not sure who enjoys this more, me, or the children who receive one of my letters.

Gionna & Joey

About Me...

I have two beautiful children, Gionna, 17 and Joseph (Joey), who is 7 and one slightly crazy dog, Rocco. I am a single mom - my full time job is my sweet little boy Joey who was diagnosed at just 7 months old with Mitochondrial Encephalomyopathy, a terminal illness for which there is no cure. When I'm not writing letters I'm an avid gardener - I have eight rose bushes that are my other "babies". Earlier this year, my daughter and I started a cleaning and lawn care company, Two Babes & A Bucket. It has really taken off and I 'almost' feel guilty getting paid to work outside. I absolutely love what I do.
